Common questions
Does this replace an interview?
No. It's a screening step before you pick up the phone, not a decision. You review the candidate's actual answers yourself before deciding whether to take their application further.
Can I write my own questions?
Yes, alongside a bank of standard first-round questions if you'd rather not start from scratch. Every question, bank or your own, is checked so nothing discriminatory can be asked.
Does it score or rank candidates?
No, and it never will. The summary describes what a candidate said. It does not rate, rank or recommend anyone. A person always makes the call.
What happens to the recording afterwards?
It's kept for 30 days so you have time to review it, then deleted automatically, along with the transcript and summary. This isn't something you need to manage yourself.
Does the candidate need a CVelo account?
No. They open their own invite link, agree to how it works, and answer the questions. Nothing to sign up for.
